Our presentation night was held on Saturday 20th August 2011 at the Marykirk Hotel.

The race was on Sunday May 15th, 2010. An overcast day, high water level. Bear in mind that the start position was moved another half-mile upstream in 2010. The results were:

A very impressive turnout this year, and for the first time in a while, a local Marykirk raft came in first. 

Everyone is invited to the 2011 Presentation Night on 20th August 2011 at the Marykirk Hotel (7pm) to collect their racing prizes. We also distribute the money raised to the various charities on the night.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting was held in the Marykirk Hall on the 28th August 2009. The majority of the existing committee and two new members were voted onto the new committee and the new committee agreed to convene soon. More news to come!

This years raft race comprised 15 rafts, all of which completed the course, on Sunday 24th of May. The balmy weather gave us a record turnout.

Presentation Night

The Presentation Night was held in the Marykirk Hotel on Friday 26th of June. In a packed room, trophies were handed out for:

  • First: The Pirates of St Cyrus
  • Second: The Police Team
  • Third: The Hillside Housebreakers
  • Wooden Paddle: Smurfy McSmurf Smurf
  • Best Dressed Raft: The Downhill Skiers
  • Best Dressed Crew: Sinkin Pink-un
  • Most sponsorship money raised: Sinkin Pink-un

In addition, the annual charity disbursement was made public for the first time.
